PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate equipped with banks suitable for coloring by an ink-jet method. SOLUTION: This color filter substrate has an ink film colored with ink drops 40 in the openings 11 each being surrounded by banks 12 formed into several divisions on a substrate 10. The bank 12 has a laminated structure of, from the substrate 10 side, a metal film 20 and a photosensitive org. thin film 30. As for the metal film 20, for example, a chromium film, nickel film, tungsten film, tantalum film and aluminum film can be used. As for the photosensitive org. thin film, for example, a polyimide film, acrylic resin film, polyhydroxystyrene film, novolak resin film, polyvinylalcohol film or the like is preferably used. |
