METHOD FOR CONVERTING CALL IN PERSONAL COMMUNICATION SERVICE(PCS)

PURPOSE: A method for converting call in a personal communication service(PCS) is provided to improve the quality of an additional service to a mobile subscriber by checking an activation of a call conversion service or a voice mail service and progressing a call according to the checked activation. CONSTITUTION: It is identified whether a timer of a call waiting service request is completed according to a non-response of a call waiting service subscriber(10). An MCWC(mobile call waiting control) block identifies whether a call conversion or a voice mail service is activated when the timer is completed(11). The MCWC block informs a call set failure to an MCC(mobile call control) block when the call conversion or the voice mail service is not activated(12). The MCWC block transmits a terminating talk conversion request to the MCC block(13). The MCC block transmits a TTNR message to a HLR(home location register) for obtaining information to a terminating call conversion number and a voice mail(14). The HLR inserts information to the terminating call conversion number and the voice mail into a TTNR response and transmits the TTNR message to a MAPC(mobile application part control)(15). The MAPC block transmits a conversion number request response message to the MCC block(16). The MCC block converts a call into the conversion number and the voice mail received from the MAPC block.
