METHOD FOR GENERATING ERROR MESSAGE THROUGH STEP-BY-STEP ERROR DIAGNOSES OF SWITCH LINKS

PURPOSE: A method for generating an error message through step-by-step error diagnoses of switch links is provided to output the error message only if the error is caused by a defect of the link itself, by diagnosing the error by stages when the error occurs at a switch link. CONSTITUTION: If it is checked that a link state has been changed from a normal state to an abnormal one due to an error(301-303), the link status data in a database is modified to be abnormal data(304) and it is checked that a warning message has been output(305). If the warning message has been output, it is checked whether a switch link state of other system connected to the link(307). If the switch link state of other system is normal, the error message is output because the error has been generated at the link itself(308). If a release from the switch link error occurs(309), it is checked whether the link state has been changed from the abnormal state to the normal one(310). If the link state has been changed, the link status data therein is modified to be normal data(311) and the link state is monitored continuously(301).
