PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten waiting time for a user, which is the operation time of a device during double-surface copying in an image forming device capable of performing double-surface copying. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, when double-surface copying is performed, by using the time of reversing the front and back surfaces of a paper sheet having an image formed in one surface, the image of a document to be copied on the back surface of the paper sheet is stored in a RAM 104 and an HDD 132 as an image file (image data), the carrying of the paper sheet is processed by a main control unit 100 just like one-surface copying, and thus time required for the front and back surface reversal of the paper sheet necessary for double-copying in a known double-surface copying machine is reduced. Therefore, total copying time necessary for copying the images of all the documents is reduced. Thus, the time of restraining a user for a copying operation is reduced, and labor costs are reduced.
