PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the current distribution of an electrolyzing electrode, to save power, to reduce the defective product rate and to reduce the cost of the electrode by prolonging its service life. SOLUTION: This method for producing a plated electrode consists of a stage for machining a copper core 2 to increase the surface area, a stage for plating the surface of the core 2 with a metal easily forming a solid soln, in a titanium layer 3, a stage for fluxing the surface of the core 2, a stage for coating the core 2 with the titanium layer 3, a stage for low-frequency-heating the core 2 and titanium layer 3, a stege for swaging the titanium layer 3 surface and a stage for coating the titanium layer 3 surface with an insoluble metal.
