PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive detergent which improves the removal rate of pollution quickly by blending a detergent component and a natural or synthesized chemical having activities or effects on coagulation of the residual detergent component and water pollutant and the crosslinkability of the pollutant. SOLUTION: This detergent is obtained by adding, to a detergent, a natural or synthesized chemical having activities or effects on coagulation of the residual detergent component, which is drained after use, and scale or pollutant, which is added by the use of the detergent, and the crosslinkability of the pollutant. When or after the water used with the detergent is drained, coagulation occurs in the detergent drain by the reaction of the coagulation promoter. The detergent has a function of pollution control which enables a drain water treatment in addition to the original detergency function of a detergent for general life such as bathing, face-washing, shampooing, dish-washing and cloth-washing.
