PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the switching voltage for ejecting ink by disposing a conductor which can apply a voltage electrically independently from a power supply body in the vicinity of an intended ink ejecting position contiguously to ink in a liquid chamber and proximately to the power supply body through an insulating cover layer. SOLUTION: A power supply body 3 and a conductor 8 are formed on a support 1 having a slit-like opening made of glass, ceramic, or the like, a cover layer 9 is formed thereon and a counter electrode 4 is disposed oppositely to the slit-like opening 2. The power supply body 3 and the conductor 8 are disposed closely each other in the vicinity of the slit-like opening 2 and the power supply body 3 is disposed to be exposed directly to ink 7 in the vicinity of the opening so that charges can be supplied. On the other hand, the conductor 8 is disposed contiguously to the ink 7 through the cover layer 9. Since the electric field can be varied efficiently in the vicinity of a power supply body 3 disposed in the vicinity of an intended ink ejecting position, switching can be driven with low voltage.
