PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire using polyester cords as carcass cords, wherein both control stability and vibration comfortable performance are improved. SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire includes ply cords formed as 1,000-10,000 dtex double-stranded polyester cords, in particular, polyethylene naphthalate fiber cords, with a dynamic modulus of elasticity of 4×1010-6×1010 dyn/cm2 during a tensile strength of 200 g and a dynamic modulus of elasticity of 6×1010-9×1010 dyn/cm2 during a tensile strength of 1,500 g.
