PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a handle unit from coming off from a housing by a method wherein a hole for inserting fingers is formed on the side plate of the housing while the handle unit is formed integrally with the side plate by bending from the upper rim of the hole. SOLUTION: Upon boring a square hole 6 on the metallic side plate 4, a handle unit 13, having the section of an L-shape, is formed integrally with the side plate 4 by cutting and raising the side plate 4. The handle unit 13 is constituted of a horizontal piece 14 and a vertical piece 15 while the horizontal piece 14 is formed so as to have a triangular shape and the lower side of the vertical piece 15 is formed of a smooth curved line. In this case, the handle unit 13 is formed by bending the side plate 4 inwardly from the square hole 6 while reinforcing ribs 16 are formed integrally with the connecting part between the horizontal piece 14 and the size plate 4 so as to be provided across the upper surface of the horizontal piece 14 and the inner surface of the side plate 4. When a hand is inserted into the square hole 6 of the side plate 4, the tip ends of the fingers are abutted against the vertical piece 15 whereby the lower surface of the vertical piece 15 can be held when the hand is elevated as they are thereby permitting the holding of an outdoor machine. |
