PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a penetrating irradiation with high dose concentration by setting a rotating axis so as to halve the target through a penetrating area with respect to the projected form of the target seen from a radiation source, when the target is irradiated while avoiding the penetrating area, and irradiating each of the halved radiation fields, respectively. SOLUTION: When one penetrating area 11 is present near or within a target 8, the target 8 is fixed on the rotating axis 13 of a device, and the rotating irradiation of performing irradiation while moving a radiation source on the circular arc around the rotating axis 13 is executed. At this time, the way of placing a patient on a treatment bed or the position angle set between the treatment bed and an irradiation device is regulated to set the rotating axis 13 so as to pass the center of the penetrating area 11 and symmetrically halve the projected form of the target 8. The irradiation is performed successively in the same rotating range to the two lateral radiation fields 16 to provide the same effect as the rotating penetrating irradiation. According to this, only by performing the rotating irradiation twice, the equal rotating penetrating irradiation is realized, and the shortening of time and reduction in cost as the whole can be attained.
