PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a pier at the time of horizontal movement of the earth retaining revetment during an earthquake by supporting one end side of a footboard, and movably supporting the other end side of the footboard for earth retaining revetment. SOLUTION: A footboard 9 is spanned between earth retaining revetment 1 and an upper structure 8, one end side of the footboard 9 is fixed on the upper structure 8 and the other end side is inserted in a recess part provided on the side of the pier 2 of the upper face of the earth retaining revetment 1. Then, the upper face is at the same height as the upper face of the earth retaining revetment 1 and the footboard 9, the rise part of the abutted side of the footboard edge part of the recess part is inclined upward, and the opposite footboard edge part end face is inclined in parallel. A slip material 13 of the small friction coefficient of Teflon and other synthetic resin material is interposed among a recess upper face, the rise part, the lower face of the footboard 9 and an edge part end face. When vibration occurs between the pier 2 and the earth retaining revetment 1, the footboard 9 moves in the recess part to absorb the vibration, and the footboard edge part end face is lifted along the inclination even for the horizontal movement of the earth retaining revetment 1. Thereby the breakage of the pier 2 can be prevented.
