PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage treatment device capable of easily treating sewage containing organic matters and high in a pH value with high efficiency. SOLUTION: Raw water such as an exuding liquid with pH of about 9-11 is aerated and is brought into contact with air containing ozone in an ozone reaction tank 1. The ozone is instantly self-decomposed, produces hydroxy radicals, oxidizes and decomposed the organic matters such as hard-to- decompose organic matters. An organic acid, etc., are formed and the pH value is gradually lowered and the hydroxy radical production quantity is gradually decreased, and the ozone dissolved quantity increases. Hydrogen peroxide is added to a hydrogen-peroxide reaction tank 7 and the organic matters are oxidized and decomposed with the hydroxy radicals decomposed and produced from the ozone. After bubbles ware removed, a compound produced as the result of which gaseous carbon dioxide becoming an obstacle factor with respect to the hydroxy radicals is allowed to react with alkaline earth metal, is separated and removed with a membrane separation means 12, and the liquid is irradiated with U.V. rays at an U.V. ray reaction tank 10. This method can obviate a pH adjusting agent and can efficiently treat sewage at an adequate pH. |
