PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent leakage of fluid at the time of full closing by preventing generation of valve element off center in a fully opening state. SOLUTION: In a rotary valve 1 formed in such a constitution that bowl shaped valve element 4 whose inner circumferential surface is formed on a spherical seat surface 3 is disposed in a valve box 2 and a valve box elastic seat 16 which is brought into elastically slide contact with the seat surface 3 is attached on a tip end of a cylindrical sleeve 6 for forming a flow passage in the valve box 2, a guide 10 is arranged along a valve element rotational direction on an outer peripheral surface of the valve element 4, and a guide groove 18 fitted to the guide 10 with a fully opening position in a slide contact condition is arranged on the valve box 2 side.
