PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a U gutter light and tough and exhibit a purifying action by forming a U-shaped gutter out of thermoplastic synthetic resin molded product having both side walls on the right and left and a bottom wall, and containing charcoal powder occupying a specific percentage of the total amount thereof. SOLUTION: A U-shaped gutter consists of a thermoplastic synthetic resin molded product whose charcoal powder is mixed at a rate of 5 to 30 wt.% of its total and is formed into a U-shaped gutter shape in longitudinal section having side walls 1, 1 on the right and left and a bottom wall 1, wherein one end side consists of a connecting recessed part 3 with a wall thickness formed so as to be thin making an innerperiphery surface recessed, while the other end consists of a connecting protruding part 4 with a wall thickness formed so as to be thin by making an outer-periphery surface recessed. The U-shaped gutter is formed out of hard resin molded product, which can attain light weight, and easy grooving and handling. Toughness and high resistance against external force such a impact and bending can also prevent generation of cracking, chipping and the like. By making its surface smooth and including a large amount of highly porous charcoal, it is possible to restrain propagation of various germs and improve adsorption and decomposition of offensive odor component or the like.
