SOLUTION: The (T.Fe) concn. 102 in slag at the steel tapping time is calculated based on a target carbon concn. at the steel tapping time and a target steel tapping time. The slag quantity 101 at the steel tapping time is calculated based on the (T.Fe) concn. in the slag at the steel tapping time, etc. Further, (CaO) concn. 111 in the slag at the steel tapping time is calculated based on the (T.Fe) concn. in the slag at the steel tapping time, etc. Lime quantity 108 charged into a converter is calculated from the slag quantity and the (CaO) concn., etc., at the steel tapping time calculated in such ways. The lime quantity to be charged into the converter is accurately obtd.
