PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for recovering oil film in which the oil film floating on the water surface is recovered by sucking the oil film from the surface of the water without recovering the oil film from the underwater. SOLUTION: The device is constituted with a suction mechanism 2 such as suction pump for sucking and recovering the oil film, a supporting body 5 for fixing the tip part 4 of a suction hose 3 provided extendedly from the suction mechanism 2 and a floatation mechanism 6 such as float for floating the supporting body 5 on the water surface, and the suction port 12 of the suction mechanism 2 is provided to face downward at the upper part of 5-200 mm height from the water surface 11, and the oil film is sucked and recovered from the suction port 12.
