PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cross talk while preventing insufficient ejection of ink drop due to a bubble remaining in a reservoir. SOLUTION: A reservoir 8 is formed as a substantially rectangular opening and an end region remote from an ink introduction opening for receiving ink externally extends farther outward than an ink supply opening 11' in order to prevent a bubble standing at the end part of the reservoir from flowing into a pressure generating chamber 9, 9' when printing is performed by blocking the bubble at an end region remote from the ink supply opening. Furthermore, cross talk is prevented by imparting a sufficient compliant on the outside of the outermost ink supply opening 11'.
