PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject transporter inhibitor having excellent ileum type bile acid transporter inhibiting action and useful as a treating or preventing agent for hyperlipemia and arteriosclerosis by including new benzylamines. SOLUTION: This transporter inhibitor comprises benzylamines of formula I [R1 is a (substituted)6-10C aryl, a (substituted)tetrazolyl or the like; R2 to R4 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R5 is a (substituted)6-10C aryl or the like; R6 is a 1-10C alkyl, a (substituted)7-16C aralkyl or the like, e.g. N-(1- phenylethyl)- phenyl-[6-hydroxy-4-methoxy-2-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl) phenyl]methyl}amine as an active ingredient. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting, e.g. a compound of formula II with a compound of the formula H2N-R6 in an inert solvent to provide a compound of formula III, reducing the compound of formula III in the inert solvent and removing a preventing group for amino group of the resultant compound.
