METHOD OF WATCHING ABRASION OF REFRACTORY MATERIAL IN REFINING FURNACE

PURPOSE: A method is provided to watch the abrasion of refractory material in a refining furnace with the molten amount and level charged in a refining furnace. CONSTITUTION: A method of watching the abrasion of refractory material in a refining furnace comprises the steps of: counting the frequency of using a refining furnace and deciding if the frequency is higher than the reference value; compensating the reference melting level to the difference between the reference and current charging amount; producing the reference melting level to the current charging amount by adding the reference melting level toward the reference charging amount and the compensating value of the reference level to the current charging amount; obtaining a compensating value of an exchange level from the current charging amount to the difference between the reference and current charging amount; gaining the exchange level to the current charging amount by adding calculated the compensating value of the exchange level to the exchange level; and obtaining the difference(A) of the current melting level from the reference level and the difference(B) between the reference melting level and the exchange level. The abrasion of refractory material in the refining furnace is produced by dividing the difference(A) by the other difference(B).
