PURPOSE: A method for automatically recording a preferred field in a TVCR is provided so that broadcast programs dealing with the user's preferred field can be automatically searched and recorded. CONSTITUTION: A method for automatically recording a preferred field in a TVCR synchronizes a tuner with a previously-set channel when a mode is converted into a standby mode according to a key input for power-off(302), separately detects an audio signal of a received broadcasting signal and recognizes a sound thereof(304), judging whether the recognized sound includes a sound corresponding to a keyword set by the user(306), and records the broadcasting signal from the tuner on a videocassette tape loaded on a deck by controlling the deck, when the sound corresponding to the keyword is recognized(308). As a result, even when the user does not watch the TV, he/she can extract and reproduce broadcasting programs dealing with his/her preferred field. |
