METHOD FOR SAVING CONSUMPTION POWER IN WIRELESS TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for saving consumption power in wireless terminal is provided to minimize power consumption in a service disable area, thereby saving the power consumption of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A method for saving consumption power in wireless terminal comprises steps of: setting a receive period to minimum value if the terminal is turned ON; receiving data to inspect bit error; inspecting whether the receive period is equal to or less than the minimum value; setting the receive period to be smaller if the period isn't; inspecting whether the period is equal to or greater than maximum value if the bit error isn't generated; setting the receive period to be greater if the period isn't; and turning the power OFF during the set period if the period is equal to or greater than the maximum value.
