PURPOSE: An information transmission method and an information transmitter are provided to relieve the feeling of being waiting as much as possible even if the data quantity included in a reply is large. CONSTITUTION: When a search request is given to an information providing center from a vehicle, the center receives the request(S201) and refers to a database in order to respond to the request and obtains a search result (S202). If a plurality of data types such as characters, pictures, etc., are included in the search result, data groups are formed for the types of data, and data quantities of each data group are calculated (S205 and 206). The data groups are arranged in order of data quantity,to determine the transmission order of the data groups (S207). Further, in each data group, the data are arranged in order of quantity of data, to determine the transmission order of the data (S209) and the data are transmitted to the vehicle in this order (S210).
