POLYOXYMETHYLENE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A polyoxymethylene resin composition is provided, which has improved tenacity, heat-stability, workability and impact-resistance. CONSTITUTION: A polyoxymethylene resin composition comprises 50-97 wt% of polyoxymethylene resin; 3-50 wt% of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer, or a mixture of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer; 0.1-10 wt% of a copolymer of maleic anhydride; and optionally a lubricant, an antioxidizing agent and a stabilizing agent. Preferably the polyoxymethylene resin is a single polymer of oxymethylene or a copolymer of oxymethylene and oxyethylene; the polyester elastomer is a polyester block copolymer containing the side chain derived from aromatic diacids and short-chained aliphatic diols, and the side chain derived from aromatic diacids and long-chained diols; and the copolymer of maleic anhydride is a polyolefin elastomer or a copolymer of styrene and maleic anhydride.
