PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy for a user to understand the operation which can be instructed or the operation which can not be instructed to equipment at present or at a specific point of time in the future. SOLUTION: A part for displaying hardware resource information like 4104 is provided in an operation picture and when a program is booked for video recording in an EPG picture, respective hardware resource pictures change as shown in the enlarged figure 4200 according to the movement of the focus in the operation picture so that it can be decided whether or not they will be necessary for operation indicated by the focus and can be used when the operation is carried out.
