PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for material testing machine capable of inserting an integration control element to a feedback loop system to eliminate a steady deviation without causing an abnormal operation. SOLUTION: At the time of starting application a hydraulic pressure, the output of a P controller 12 is set to be the output of a control element 3 by switches 13, 15. A memory 17 writes the output Es(t) of the control element 3, and a memory 18 writes the output of error Ee(t). When the switches 13, 15 are switching-controlled at time t0, the output of the switch 13 is outputted to an I-controller 14, and the output of the I-controller 14 is outputted to an adder 16 through the switch 15 and set to the output of the control element 3. The memory 17 reads and outputs Es(tp) to a test wave generation part 1. The read output of each memory 17, 18 is held as it is even after the switching.
