PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deflection deformation of a sliding recessed part for a shutter disposed at a disk case and the flawing of the signal recording surface of an optical disk even when the disk cartridge having the disk case housing an optical disk and an outer case loaded with the disk case receives falling impact. SOLUTION: This disk cartridge has a shutter 6 for opening and closing a signal reading and writing window 5 in the disk case 2. The sliding region of the shutter 6 is provided with a sliding recessed part 9 recessing from the case surface. The top and bottom of the inside surface of the outer case 3 facing the sliding recessed part 9 are provided with regulating projections 15 in the state that their projecting ends intrude into the sliding recessed part 9 more than the case surface. The thin sliding recessed part 9 tends to be deflected and deformed by receiving the falling impact but its outside surface is received by the regulating projections 15 and, therefore, the collision of the wall surface of the sliding recessed part 9 against the signal recording surface of the optical disk 1 may be prevented.
