PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the loss of data which are sent from a terminal device and to perform the effective data processing such as the totalization processing. SOLUTION: This data processor includes the basic software which starts the processor main body and controls the application software to perform the prescribed processing such as the totalization processing, a hard disk which holds the data sent from a terminal device, a hard disk check means which checks the state of the hard disk and a control means which performs the prescribed processing using the application software when a normal state of the hard disk is decided and discontinues the said processing when an abnormal state of the hard disk is decided respectively.
