PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin secondary battery capable of being equipped with a protection circuit board having a function to shut off the current in the event of failure such as over-charging or over-discharging without reducing the volume-energy density to a great extent. SOLUTION: A thin secondary battery is composed of a power generating element, an outer material 2 to store the power generating element and with the opening sealed by hot melting, a positive and a negative lead connected electrically with the power generating element and with the forefront parts extending out from the outer material 2, and a protection circuit board 3 installed on the hot melt attaching part of the outer material 2 in the condition connected with the leads, having a function to shut off the current in the event of failure, and including an FET element 16. |
