The burner (1) comprises a tube, into one end of which the fuel (18) is added, and a mantle around it. A flow of gas (19), preferably air, is introduced between the tube and mantle, and then passes through perforations (11a, 11b) in the tube. Most of the perforations (11a) are located over the length of the tube underside, and only a few perforations (11b) are located along the sides of the tube, in order to enhance temperature gradients generated inside the tube during burning. |
