摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sufficient distortion compensation effect in any frequency domain, and to enable a signal transmission reduced in distortion by entering light from plural light sources of which the modulation distortions are opposite phase to each other to an optical modulation means, and modulating the entered light by an input electric signal. SOLUTION: Non-modulated light generated in light sources 1a, 1b are multiplexed by an optical multiplexer 3, and are entered to an electro-absorption optical modulator 4. The electro-absorption optical modulator 4 modulates the entered non-modulated light according to the input electric signal, covers the electric signal into an optical signal. The modulation distortions are offset by entering plural light, of which the modulation distortions are opposite phase to each other to the electric-absorption optical modulator 4 for modulating them, and it becomes possible to transmit a signal with little distortion. It is possible to easily equalize the strengths of the modulation distortions of the light from each light source by adjusting an optical output adjusting part 2 and an applied voltage adjusting part 5, and also make the phases opposite to each other.</p>
