SLIDING BASE ISOLATION DEVICE AND BASE ISOLATION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring out a base isolation function even for small seismic force by providing a smooth plate comprising a lubricating coating film including a low molecular lubricating component in a matrix resin and forming a sliding member made of a resin composition mainly composed of ethylene tetrafluoride resin and sliding on one surface of the smooth plate. SOLUTION: A sliding member 4 is fixed on a lower end surface of an intermediate plate 5, and a smooth plate 2 sliding with the sliding member 4 is fixed on a lower skelton 8. A sliding surface of the smooth plate 2 is provided with a lubricating coat 3. The lubricating coating film is made of a matrix resin mixed with a low molecular lubricating component. The sliding member 4 is made of a resin composition mainly composed of ethylene tetrafluoride resin. According to this structure, the smooth plate 2 comprising the lubricating coat 3 on the sliding surface and the sliding member 4 made of the resin composition composed mainly of ethylene tetrafluoride resin are slided, so that a coefficient of friction is remarkably reduced. Accordingly the base isolation structure can be functioned even in the earthquake of low earthquake intensity.
