PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for numerically precisely grasping and inspecting whether the seal part of a paper-made packaging body is in a desired seal state or not. SOLUTION: This seal part grasping and inspecting device for a paper-made packaging body comprises a measurement system 1 having a signal generator for generating a signal, an exciter for giving a vibration to the paper-made packaging body according to the output from the signal generator, a non-contact type or contact type displacement sensor for measuring the displacement and acceleration of the paper-made packaging body, and an FFT analyzer for FFT processing and comparing the output of the signal generator with the measurement output of the non-contact type or contact type displacement sensor to determine a transmission function; and an analyzing system 2 having a comparative means for comparing the determined transmission function with a basic data to judge the state of the seal part of the paper-made packaging body.
