摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a light source in order to save the space and power consumption. SOLUTION: An optical angular speed meter comprises a light source 1, means 1a for modulating the frequency of light emitted therefrom, two or more optical ring resonator 8, a luminous flux branching/coupling means 31, 32, 21, 7 for coupling the modulated light from the light source 1 with both circulations of each ring resonator 8, means 21b, 21c for modulating the frequency or phase of each luminous flux incident to each circulation of each ring resonator 8, and light receiving units 10, 12 for detecting outgoing lights from respective circulations of each ring resonator 8, respectively. Resonance error of the single turn circulation light of a ring resonator 8z is detected from a light receiving unit 12z and subjected to signal processing before being fed back negatively to means 1a for modulating the frequency of light emitted from the light source. Furthermore, resonance error of reverse circulation light of the ring resonator 8z and resonance error of each circulation light of other the ring resonators 8x, 8y are detected from respective detectors and subjected to signal processing before being fed back negatively to means 21b, 21c for modulating the frequency or phase thus controlling both circulation lights of all ring resonators to be sustained in resonant state.
