PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette having high dimensional accuracy and high strength. SOLUTION: A component member 11 inclusive of a resin of the magnetic tape cassette 10 is formed by insert molding using a metal 15 subjected an electro-chemical surface treatment for the purpose of enhancing the affinity to the resin. The metal 15 and the resin of the component member formed by the insert molding are securely bonded by a chemical reaction. The occurrence of crack, etc., at the boundary of the metal and the resin is averted.
