The support (1) is made from plastic shaped to form as flat base and an inclined display surface (2) cut out to form a flexible tongue (3) and two notches to hold an item of jewellery such as a ring. The display surface and base have windows to permit reading/electronic scanning of a double-sided label (12) giving e.g. the price, weight and description of the item and a bar code. If the support is made from a transparent plastic the windows are unnecessary.
