PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the focusing difference of electron beams on a screen caused by the structure of an electron gun of an inline type color picture tube, and provide high focusing characteristics in the whole region of a screen. SOLUTION: Electron beam passing through holes on the sixth grid 9 side of a fifth grid 5, of a plate-like sixth grid 9, and on the sixth grid 9 side of a seventh grid 6 constitute a focusing difference uniformizing means 27 for giving a focusing action to each of the electron beams when the electron beams are not deflected. The aperture diameter DR2 of the electron beam passing through hole corresponding to an R beam exciting a red phosphor, the aperture diameter DG2 of the electron beam passing through hole corresponding to a G beam exciting a green phosphor, and the aperture diameter DB2 of the electron beam passing through hole corresponding to a B beam exciting a blue phosphor are formed to satisfy the relation of DR2<DG2<DB2.
