PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in waterproof performance due to damages or leakage of a sealing part and to prevent breakage in a latch engaging part of a housing due to excessive elastic spring force of a sealing member in a waterproof connector. SOLUTION: This waterproof connector 1 is provided with an upper housing half body 2 and a lower housing half body 4, and in the inner circumferences of the respective half bodies 2, 4, sealing members 90b, 90a made of self-fusion type material are arranged respectively. When the housing half bodies 2, 4 are combined together by engagement between a latching arm 74 and a latching projection 12, the sealing members 90a, 90b are fused mutually and solidified with the lapse of time. In fusion, the sealing members 90a, 90b tend to flow to the outside of the housing half bodies 2, 4, however, their leakage is prevented because they are pushed back to the inside by means of slanting faces 18a, 73a.
