AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF DEVICE, NETWORK PRINTER, AND AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic power-off device and network printer which automatically detect that tasks of all computers using the objective network printer are completed and turn off the power source of the network printer. SOLUTION: This system has a task monitor which monitors whether or not the tasks of all network devices using the network printer 1 to be power off end and outputs a task end signal when the end of the tasks of all the network devices is detected, a power-off part 9 which performs ON/OFF control over the power source part 10 of the network printer 1, and a control part 7 which instructs the power-off part 9 to perform OFF control over the power source part 10 of the network printer 1 when receiving the task end signal and cuts off the power supply to the network printer 1.
