<p>Vapour suction hood with edge suction of the known type comprises a housing open at the lower edge which is partly closed off by a bottom wall, the edges of which extend nearly up to the walls of the housing, so that a suction slit results between these edges and the walls running round the whole periphery of the bottom wall. This wall is hinged and gives access to a metal filter. A discharge channel is formed in the housing, one end of which opens out onto one wall of the housing and the other extends to some distance above the lower wall. A fan is installed in the channel and a filter mounted in front of the end of the channel opening opposite the lower wall. The installed filter is easily cleaned and is non-inflammable, in contrast to textile fibre felt filters.</p> |
