In a process to fit a locking arm (26) with a spring cup (24) in a bore hole (2) forming part of a disc brake cylinder (3). The spring cup (24) is taken up by a tool (40) which pre-tensions the locking arm (28). The tool (40) and cup spring (40) are introduced to the bore hole (2). The spring cup (24) is moved within the bore hole (2) to release the locking arm (26).
