For the parts mounter of the present invention, a nozzle existence checking sensor (7) is installed at a parts mounting means (1) loaded with a suction nozzle (2). When a user carries the circuit board (3) into a circuit board supporting means (5), the nozzle existence checking sensor (7) can detect the present nozzle charge condition of the parts mounting means (1) while the parts mounting means (1) shifts to a parts disposal box (6). Moreover, unless the parts mounting means (1) is loaded with a suction nozzle (2) required for the next parts mounting in the middle of production, the existence of the nozzle is checked in the middle of shifting to a nozzle exchanging means (8).
