The invention relates to an industrial truck (1) which is driven by means of a frictional wheel drive (7) that operates on a rail (6). The inventive industrial truck (1) is in contact with the ground via a pair of steering rollers (3) situated in the front and a pair of fixed rollers (5) situated in the rear, and is held in the track by a guide roller (9) which rests against the rail (6). The rail (6) comprises a superelevation in the area of a curved element (12) so that the transmittable driving force is increased in that area by means of a frictional wheel (8) of the frictional wheel drive (7). An entry aid (11) makes it possible to effortlessly align the guide roller (9) with regard to the rail (6). The industrial truck (1) is not bound to a fixed speed by the frictional wheel drive (7) thereof, but can be individually accelerated or decelerated. In the instance of malfunctions, the industrial truck (1) can be manually moved with ease.
