An automotive brake drum has a thermally-operated adjustment limiter. The brake has an adjustment lever (7) with a catch (8), a length-adjustable strut (9) between two brake shoes (2), and a bimetallic strip (12) linked to the adjustment lever (7). On reaching a pre-determined temperature the bimetallic strip (12) holds the adjustment lever (7) fast.
