Fuel injection system for IC engines has a facility to increase amount during cold start conditions

The fuel ignition system for an IC engine has a number of cylinder injectors (13) that provide controlled inputs of fuel that are fixed by a controller (16). During start up and increase injection amount is introduced. A sensor monitors combustion and if this is partial the next cycle amount is reduced based on the exhaust gas content. When operating temperature is attained the normal injection cycle is imposed.
