The motion converter has a rotating input element which can be driven by an electric motor and a linearly movable output element, used for operation of the cryogenic valve. The input element is provided by a worm (1) of a worm gearing, with its worm wheel (5) coupled for synchronous rotation with a cam disc (9), used for reciprocation of the stroke element (10) acting as the output element of the motion converter.
