The pupillograph has a optoelectronic sensor device (C), e.g. a CCD sensor or CMOS image sensor, supported by a mechanical holder attached to the head, e.g. in the form of a spectacles frame or a helmet, so that the function of the pupillograph is independent of the head. The spectacles frame (A) acting as the mechanical holder is designed for blocking entry of external light and incorporates light-emitting diodes (D, E, F), e.g. IR diodes, for illuminating the eye, the sensor signals fed to a microprocessor (B) for detecting the pupil contraction.
