Ultrasonic endoscope probe (1) has distal end face incorporating instrument channel opening (5), enclosed by ultrasonic oscillator field (6), for providing a radial ultrasound scan, and a forwards angled viewing window (11) positioned to the rear of the ultrasonic oscillator field, for viewing the instrument, e.g. an injection needle, projecting from the front end of the instrument channel (4).
