PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the wear of the inner part of a blast device by making to the shot with the same extent or slightly harder hardness as the hardness of the iron system treated part such as a cast iron part which is the partner material of projection. SOLUTION: The cut wire type iron system short for a blast has a low hardness with Hv 200-300. The average hardness from the surface layer of a shot to the inside is almost same. The foreign articles such as sand, burr and oxidized film stuck to the cast iron part are removed by projecting the shot to the iron system cast iron part as the treated article by a high speed. The surface hardness of the cast iron part is same as the shot or slightly lower than shot. In this shot, even if projection number of times exceeds 6000 cycle, 7000 cycle, the cumulative wear amount of the partner material is not changed so much. this means that the wear of the parts in the blast device can be restrained and the life of the parts can be extended.
