PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showerhead device being compact and preventing water hammers by imparting a water-hammer preventive function to a showerhead itself. SOLUTION: A flow passage is opened and closed by a shutoff opening 5a in a showerhead 1 and a switching valve 5. A variable volume member 16 having an inflow part 16a permitting the inflow of cold or hot water from a water passage 9a communicating with a primary flow passage 2d is disposed in a secondary flow passage 2a in the showerhead 1. The portion of the showerhead 1 through which a flow rate regulating part for regulating the flow of cold or hot water has not yet passed is used as the primary flow passage and the portion of the showerhead 1 through which the flow rate regulating part has passed is used as the secondary flow passage. A volume changing part having at least one opening in the primary flow passage and expanding and contracting as the cold or hot water flows in and out from the opening is disposed in the secondary flow passage, whereby when the passage of the cold or hot water is stopped by the shutoff opening and the switching valve, the volume changing part takes up water hammers. |
