PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety of a passerby at a rotary door having a partition wall. SOLUTION: The rotary ceiling is rotatably arranged around the central shaft in a cylindrical wall having opening parts 6a, 6b in opposed positions, and a partition wall 14 is suspended in the diametrical direction of this so that an opening/closing part 16 is formed in the center of the partition wall 14. Circular arc panels 22a, 22b for simultaneously closing the opening parts 6a, 6b are joined to both end parts of the partition wall 14. Distance measuring sensors 40a to 45a and 40b to 45b are arranged on the rotary ceiling, these form an aerial detecting area turning downward from the rotary ceiling along the rotational directional side wall surface of at least a part of the opening/ closing part 60, and outputs a detecting signal when detecting a passerby in the detecting area. A photoelectric sensor penetrates a beam of light along the vicinity of the wall surface of the partition wall 14 in the vicinity of the floor surface, and outputs a detecting signal when detecting the passerby. A controller decelerates or stops the rotary ceiling in response to detecting signals of the distance measuring sensors 40a to 45a and 40b to 45b, and stops rotation of the rotary ceiling in response to a detecting signal of the photoelectric sensor. |
